Des Moines Local

With this project, we have set out to revitalize local. Starting out in our hometown in the Des Moines Area (Ankeny), we have been discovering locations and adding these to our site to help users discover the hidden gems of our area themselves. In today’s age, search engine functionality is deteriorating by the hour. Search engines promote big businesses, and big businesses pay to be promoted. That’s why our aim is to be the best way to find places in Des Moines. From restaurants to bars to parks and more, you can find something local in just a few clicks! Go try it out – find a place to eat lunch tomorrow with a friend!

Blog

While our site is primarily informational, chock full of data on local companies, our blog takes a more personable and experiential approach – come here to learn about our experiences with these places, and let us show you what we love (and hate) about Des Moines!

Services

The other part of our vision involves the service industry. Our competitors in this space charge both you and the service provider an arm and a kidney for what is frankly a scattershot system that often outputs low-quality candidates. And no wonder – those service providers don’t have any money left to spend on their business! We charge less, and allow our users to pick which business partner(s) they want to contact.

The biggest thing we emphasize here is quality. Any Joe Schmoe can duct tape some plastic under your roof and call it fixed. You might not even know until a bucket full of water falls through your ceiling! We do our best to ensure our contacts provide quality service. When they don’t, ESPECIALLY repeatedly, said service provider would be subject for removal. That’s just how it is – we want to make sure you get the services you need, and we won’t mess around with people who will subtract from the service they provide so they can increase their bottom line. Making Businesses Better

The third leg of our project is helping businesses. We get it guys – websites are complicated, the internet is hard, and you just can’t compete! Taco Bell has a dedicated team of developers corn-holed in some other country doing voodoo magic to make sure they’re the top result every time, and all you’ve got is a Windows 95 computer in your basement that’s so filled with dust the EPA says you can’t turn it on anymore.
